The Personnel Board interprets the Personnel By-Law for the Town of Edgartown personnel.  Town of Edgartown is an equal employment opportunity provider.

If you are a town employee, committee or board member, or if you are actively engaged in services to benefit the Town of Edgartown you are required to take the State of Massachusetts Conflict of Interest test. Click here to take that test online.

The Board evaluates and classifies positions and a review of all positions in the classification plan is done at appropriate intervals.  The Personnel Board provides advice and assistance to department heads, supervisory personnel and employees on all aspects of personnel Management.
Benefits are under the Personnel office and include health, dental and eye insurance as well as some voluntary options. The office maintains a centralized personnel record keeping system.
Open positions are advertised in local papers and are posted on the town bulletin board and the Personnel bulletin board.

Documents for the Personnel board include the Personnel By-Law and an application for employment.
